Fibber McGee's Irish Bar, Coatbridge
We’re delighted to share the completed fit-out of Fibber McGee’s, a new independent Irish bar on Main Street in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire. The venue opened in December 2025 following a full transformation of the former Wetherspoon site, and we’re proud to have delivered the entire commercial joinery fit-out for the project.
The brief was to create an authentic, characterful Irish pub interior — and the result speaks for itself. Our team installed the bespoke bar front, complete with traditional green tiled panelling, hardwood bar top, and custom Fibber McGee’s branding. We also designed and fitted the split-level floor layout with wrought-iron balustrade railings, red leather banquette booth seating, and all interior joinery throughout the venue, including panelling, dado rails, and finishing details that give the space its warmth and character.
The exposed brick feature walls, vintage Irish pub memorabilia, and multi-zone seating layout combine to create exactly the kind of venue that stands out in the Lanarkshire hospitality market — a space with genuine personality, built to last.

Case Study: Firestopping - Bellshill Car Park
We’re pleased to share the completed firestopping and structural steel protection works carried out at a commercial building in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire. The project covered the full underground car park level, and it’s a good example of the kind of work that keeps a building compliant without ever drawing attention to itself.
The Scope of works was to bring the car park’s exposed structural steelwork up to the required fire resistance standard while maintaining safe escape routes throughout the level. Our team installed fire-rated beam cladding across the full run of steel beams and applied intumescent coatings to the structural steelwork throughout the car park. Intumescent paint expands under heat to form a protective char layer, insulating the steel and buying critical time before structural failure. On a car park level sitting directly beneath occupied commercial space, that protection matters.
Underground car parks present a particular fire risk. Vehicle fires burn hot and fast, ventilation is limited, and the structure above depends entirely on the steel below holding its load. The completed works slow the spread of fire and smoke, protect the building’s structural integrity, and keep escape routes usable for occupants and emergency services.
