What a Friday night at The City Stadium. We were absolutely delighted to watch Aidan Connolly put in a Man of the Match performance as Queen’s Park defeated Ross County 1-0 under the lights, and even more proud to see him collect his award sporting the Elite Joinery & Fire Protection logo.
Connolly’s 16th-minute header, meeting a pinpoint Scott Martin cross at the back post and steering it into the corner, proved to be the only goal of the game.
It’s been a brilliant season for Connolly, who has been the Spiders’ standout performer throughout the 2025/26 campaign and currently sits as the club’s top scorer. His return to Queen’s Park, 12 years after he left the club’s youth system for Dundee United alongside a certain Andy Robertson, has been a real homecoming story, and nights like Friday are exactly why.
